CLS featured at ETH visit of Winfried Kretschmann

On Thursday April 28, 2022, Ministerpräsident Kretschmann and a delegation from Baden-Württemberg visited ETH Zurich as part of a two-day visit to Zurich and Basel.  During the visit the delegates were informed about ETH activities in the fields of AI, medical research and robotics.
 
As part of the two-hour program, delegates heard from CLS Co-Director Thomas Hofmann, who spoke about the concept and progress of CLS as a successful example of a cooperation between ETH Zurich and Baden-Württemberg. CLS Co-Director Bernhard Schölkopf went on to talk about the role of CLS as the nucleus of a European network of AI researchers, from which the ELLIS network with its successful doctoral program has grown. Finally, Alex Ilic described the goals and structure of the ETH AI Center.
