Jan-Eric Lenssen receives 2025 GCPR Award

Since 2011, the DAGM has annually granted the German Pattern Recognition Award for outstanding, internationally visible research in the fields of pattern recognition, computer vision, and machine learning. Jan-Eric Lenssen is one of two recipients in 2025.
Internationally visible researchers in the fields of pattern recognition, computer vision, and machine learning who have not yet passed the age of 35 in the year of the awards presentation can be proposed. The prize is currently donated by Daimler AG and consists of a financial award of 5000 euros. In 2025, the German Pattern Recognition Award was granted to two outstanding researchers, both involved in CLS.
Jonas Geiping, Head of the Group on Safety- and Efficiency- aligned Learning at the ELLIS Institute Tübingen and MPI for Intelligent Systems, received the award for his outstanding scientific contributions in the area of Understanding of Safety, Security, and Efficiency in Modern Pattern Recognition.
Jan-Eric Lenssen, Senior Researcher at Max Planck Institute for Informatics received the award for his outstanding scientific contributions in the area of Geometic Deep Learning, Graph Neural Networks, and 3D representation Learning.
