This Responsible Conduct in Research workshop will provide an introduction to these important topics, with subject-specific input from senior IMPRS-IS and CLS researchers. Participants should attend the whole workshop.

Interactive sessions will guide participants through these important topics:
• Sources of guidance on good scientific practice
• Working relationships and collaboration between colleagues
• Data manipulation and storage
• Authorship and publishing
• Scientific misconduct
• Local arrangements supporting integrity and good scientific practice.
This will lead into a panel discussion on examples of good scientific practice in research on intelligent systems.
Panelists: Prof. Dr. Robert C. Williamson (University of Tübingen), Prof. Otmar Hilliges (ETH Zurich) and Prof. Christoph M. Keplinger (MPI for Intelligent Systems).
