cls 16 June 2021 News
Welcome to the CLS class of 2021!
Eight young researchers from around the world are beginning their PhD research in the CLS fellowship program. Clockwise from top left:
Daniela from Germany (MSc Mechanical Engineering, TU Munich), Mattia from Italy (MSc in Robotics, Systems and Control, ETH Zurich), Nima from Iran (MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Bilkent University), Núria from Spain (MSc in Robotics, Systems and Control, ETH Zurich), Yufeng from China (MSc in Computer Science, ETH Zurich), Paul from Germany (MSc Biomedical Engineering, University of Tübingen), Yuntao from China (MSc in Robotics, Systems and Control, ETH Zurich) and Siyeon from South Korea (MSc in Nano Science and Technology, Sungkyunkwan University).
The eight successful applicants were selected from over 900 applications received during our CLS2021 recruitment. Four will join with ETH Zurich as their main base; four at the MPI for Intelligent Systems. In each case, a year of the PhD will be spent at the partner organisation. Some of the group already began their PhD research in April 2021; the remainder will start at the latest by September.
We welcome the new doctoral fellows and wish them much success and enjoyment during their doctoral research!
