Max Planck ETH Center for Learning Systems Retreat 2017
October 4-6, 2017, Stoos, Switzerland

We are pleased to announce the 2017 CLS retreat in Stoos, in the heart of Central Switzerland. This 2.5-day event will be mainly for the funded CLS fellows and their supervisors. Some places might be available for associated fellows also.


Format

All CLS fellows are expected to participate and give a talk on their current work. Substantial time for discussions will be scheduled. This will be complemented with some lectures given by established CLS researchers. One half-day will be reserved for hiking, biking or other social activities.



Retreat location (Stoos, Switzerland)

The retreat will take place at Seminar- und Wellnesshotel Stoos.

Stoos is located in Schwyz, in the heart of Central Switzerland, on a sunny alpine plateau at about 1300 m. It can be reached by funicular railway via Schlattli (from Schwyz on the road to Muotathal).

The first day of the retreat we will spend on top of Fronalpstock. The “Gipfelrestaurant” with seminar room is situated at 1922 m and reachable by chairlift from Stoos.
